Description
The heat treatment of Alder greatly enhances their characteristics and opens up new possibilities for these types of wood. This process involves naturally altering the structure of wood cells by exposing them to supersaturated steam at temperatures up to 190°C. The result is a clean, eco-friendly, solid wood with a broad range of color tones. Today, this wood is frequently used for creating decorative dark accents that highlight the elegant design of saunas. Thermally modified wood performs just as well as other species, offering durability and a pleasant aroma.
Each piece is fully finished on all four sides, with the corners rounded to a radius of approximately 5mm.

For bench building, use one Thermo Alder board per 95mm of bench width (90mm board plus a 5mm gap).
